Im due in March 2024 as well I’m doing the baby shower in January , what state do you live in? You can try renting out a small place

I live in NJ in Vineland. I looked up at this place just for 5h they want $700 with tables and chairs only. All the rest is on me

Doing mine in Jan. I paid 200.00 for two hours. They have tables chairs and a couch/coffee table. The venue is an old bourbon building redone holds 30-40.

I'm doing mine at home in November with just our most immediate family. I'll probably do a video when she's born for everybody else. I didn't want a big event anyway so it works for me

Churches are really good for having the space as well as fire houses! You can do something easy for catering :) I’m currently helping my friend find easy ideas for her sons first birthday. She is doing ziti, hot roast beef, chips, a veggie tray and fruit tray

I’m due in March, my shower will be in beginning of Feb. Roughly 20/25 ppl max. The place I having it it a beautiful farmhouse rustic vibe, since I live in Ga outside of Atlanta. For 4 hrs it’s 500 but that includes the table chairs, and and additional fee for catering but it’s not too bad. They will do the setup and cleanup.

I want to do a babyshower but the places I was looking to rent are too expensive and really not worth it. One spot by my house told me $1,200 for 4 hours🙄 another one told me $900! That’s crazy to me🤦🏽‍♀️

I am also worried about indoor space and the cost of food! I have decided that feeding my guests an entire meal is not necessary or expected! Simple cheese & crackers / chips & dip will do! Its also okay to ask guests to bring a dish to share 😊 If you are open to the idea of using your apartment although too small, perhaps you can ask your guests to show up at different times. At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 i went to a few baby showers where you show up with your gift, walk through and play a few games, and then hit the road. It might not be ideal for you to not have all of your guests there at the same time, but its an idea!

I like all you said and agree, except for asking guests to bring a dish. If you’re hosting an event or someone is throwing the shower for you, you or the host should provide the food.

Im due the first week of March and my baby shower is this weekend! At 20 weeks. I know it’s early but I live in Illinois so cold is around the corner. I’m just doing it in my backyard!

I'm due March 9th. My baby shower will be February 3rd. But I'm renting a place out.

I don't even want a baby shower, but my family will not stop planning it. So a baby shower really isn't necessary. My plan was to do a baby moon instead of a baby shower.

I'm due at the end of March so if all goes well we are doing ours at the beginning of March. If you check, most community centers are free, you just have to put a deposit down, and you will get it back if u cleaned properly. Check locally to where you are and see if they have anything like that.

I’m due in March & im doing my baby shower in January, it also gets very cold where i live during the winter and not enough room inside any family houses so i have no option but to do it outside. we’re going to get heaters and i’m going to do a hot cocoa bar. everyone should already know it’ll be cold and come prepared and if no one comes i’m fine with that too lol

Does your apartment have an amenity that you can rent out? Most apartments I’ve seen have a $200 deposit for incidentals and they give it back when you’re done with the place.

Olive Garden does cheap catering and feeds a lot. Also some managers will work deals with you on it

We’re doing a bigger baby shower in early december at 28 weeks (due March 3rd). I know we’re gonna induce by 39 weeks and we live in MA so I didn’t want to deal with the cold. We booked somewhere for breakfast that’s about $28 a person and they’ll do the food and everything so we just need to worry about decorating. It can be pricy but worth it

I’d definitely recommend having a shower if you can. The memories and photos are lifelong and gifts alone make it worth the cost.
Location can be almost anywhere and often free. A friend’s barn or greenhouse, reserve a spot at a park.
You don’t need a ton of food or decor either.
For winter if outdoors you can do warm foods like soup or dip in a crock pot, coffee/tea/cocoa setup, a fondue theme and use candles or a fire to help people stay warm.
Buy two fondue sets if you can’t borrow and kebab sticks, melting cheese, and melting chocolate on Amazon. Bake some cupcakes or cookies.
Go to Costco and pick up a bag of tortilla chips, soup or dip, a fruit/cheese plate and veggie plate for dipping, disposable silverware/cups/dishes, a case of water, and it’s less than $150 tax included for food and drink or $6 a person.
Order some balloons and a banner from Temu. $20-$30. Fairy lights.
Babyshower for less than $200.
Had mine already and catering/decor was within that $200-$300 budget.

I found a ranch who’s renting their huge room for the whole day for $250 with tables and chairs. I only have to make the appetizers et bring the drinks. It’s going to be so cold outside I don’t want everyone to freeze what you guys think about it ?

Someone already suggested it but does your complex have a clubhouse that you could “rent out” for a few house? It may be nice to do it there and have a pot luck where you friends can bring over food/drinks.
