Feeding schedule

Hiya!
I’ve heard mixed reviews/information on feeding schedule for my kiddo. He’s now 1 month old, and we have been told to wake him every 2-3 hours for feeding. However, all the moms I’ve talked to say they never did that. I’m just trying to figure out what’s best for my babe without fully ignoring my pediatrician. How have you guys gone about your feeding schedule?

Our pediatrician told up to push the feedings every 2 hours during the day and let her sleep at night. Only to wake her up if it’s been 5 hours.

Following as I’ve heard the same. I wake my baby by 3 hour mark if she doesn’t by herself but sometimes she’s so sleepy I feel bad waking her up. I literally feed her in sleepy state.

Our pediatrician said to feed on command during the day (which is every 2.5 hrs) and to let him sleep for as long as he will go for at night! We just got our first 5.5 hr stretch last night (6.5 weeks old).

I wake very 3 hours during the day to feed and then at night wake whenever he wakes! We usually get one 4.5-5.5 hour stretch and have since about 4 weeks (after he got back to birth weight).

The last two nights he’s been waking up on the 2.5-3 hour mark but I think he’s going through a growth spurt bc even during the day he’s extra hungry!!

My baby is 2 months today . I am feeding her every 3 hours during the day and every 4 hrs at night . Doing breast milk and formula too to help her gain weight 😁😁

We were doing every 2-2.5 hours for the first four weeks because our little guy dropped quite a bit of weight. Now that he’s gaining weight as normal we’re feeding him when he wants during the day (usually every 2-3 hours) and letting him wake us at night, but our pediatrician still recommended waking him if it’s been 4 hours.

I only woke her up until she regained the weight she lost after birth.

I was told every 3 to 4 hrs but my son is gaining weight fine and is well above his birth weight so I allow him to wake up on his own now and only feed when he is hungry which is typically every 3 to 4 hrs anyways except at night he typically goes 5 maybe 6 hrs sleeping before waking for food
