Jaundice phototherapy caused dark skin

My baby had jaundice and was under the blue light for few days.. we’ve come home and it’s been a week since but I feel her skin has become darker. She was really pink initially but now she has uneven skin tone, her hands a light skinned and face is tanned/darker.

Anyone else had similar experience? Does the skin tone go back?

My boy was jaundiced and went under the lights too, it took about 3 weeks to fully clear and the face is the last place it clears up from according to my HV. Just keep feeding as that helps to flush it out of their system :) x

thanks!! That’s what I’ve been told to focus on feeding. I think it’s the yellow color that’s giving the appearance of tan. Hopefully it clears out soon 🙏🏼
