My girl will be 4 weeks this Friday. People tell me it gets better. I obviously don’t know but I will tell you you’re not alone in the trenches. It’s so tough.

Came here to hopefully read the 'it gets better' posts... also have a 5 week old and can't wait for the newborn stagebl to be over.

It gets better, then bad again, then better and so on. The hard changes but parenting is hard. My mental health definitely improves when I start getting more sleep again.

8wk old here! Yes, it’ll get better. For me, I started to feel better when my sleep improved. Now, still up every 3ish hours to feed and pump but much better now that my daughter is sleeping longer overnight. I swear I felt like i was in groundhog day (movie ref)….walks outside helped.

It does get better. You’ll get into a good routine and you’ll finally start getting longer stretches of sleep. I have 2 under 2 and you’ll deal with a few sleep regressions but things get so much better. Seeing our oldest interact with his brother and seeing his personality and watching him learn makes those sleepless nights at the beginning way worth it.
