cold sore
I’ve had cold sores since I was in middle school, they always come when the weather changes cold.. i had NO clue you weren’t supposed to kiss your baby if you have one.. and I have been all day until coincidentally, I saw a Facebook post about it and now I am really worried! My daughter is only 5 weeks old and I feel terrible and so so scared because it can be very dangerous to babies.. What should I do? ☹️ i have been having panic attacks because i’m worried and am not sure what to do.. Pls help !!

Take her to a pediatrician, just to make sure.
If the cold sores were not open or leaking u should be okay as that is how they spread or pass on to others I have them all the time and have to take medication for them
@Christina This is incorrect, cold sores are contagious all the way up until they completely disappear, which generally takes about 2 or so weeks. Also, if you have the virus it's best just not to kiss on the baby because there's still a possibility (really small, but still present) that you could pass the virus on even without the cold sores present.
