Baby rash

I would ring the GP and get him seen or ring nhs 111 if you can’t get a doctors appointment

This almost looks like impetigo but could honestly be anything, like a reaction to nappies etc. Definitely call 111 as they’ll likely get you seen sooner than your gp. I’d also advise letting them know you’ve shown your HV and she’s recommended him to be seen but you can’t get through to gp. Glad to hear he’s still ok in himself xx

Looks like baby needs some cream like hydrocortisone from the gp, I don’t think things like Metanium will cut it as it’s rather red, gp’s see baby’s on the same day as calling up so hopefully you get sorted today xx

Hi check with your gp , I recommend sunflower oil nightime will help , my little one had like this and I bought a lot of cream but nothing works, I've been advised by my grandma to put sunflower oil night time and actually worked after 2 days he was getting butter

Try changing nappy brands, my son had the same issue & I used metanium cream over the rash and it did me wonders

Are you breast feeding? Put some breast milk on it if so, breast milk is amazing for rash’s and babies skin. X

Check with gp but mine started with similar when we used pampers nappies

During your OB appts when you got tested for anything/pap smear did all your tests come up okay and same with your partner? Looks like more blistering than it does a diaper rash. I’d have them do a biopsy if it’s spreading. ☹️❣️

Could be from detergent or diaper brands or a product I would try lightly cleaning him with a Luke warm rag and applying Aquaphor :(

Looks worse than a regular diaper rash. Some sort of viral infection maybe. I’d have a doctor look at him as soon as possible

Put A&D cream on it for baby’s and your baby might be allergic to the brand of diapers or wipes you use

Took him to urgent care and they said it’s just a nappy rash and to put sudocream on although I really don’t think it is 🙄x

I don't think it looks like nappy rash at all, I'd phone your gp first thing in the morning and demand to be seen urgently. Trust your instincts ❤️

it looks like herpes simplex virus to me as well

If it is HSV baby needs oral or intravenous medication to stop it spreading and clear it up. I’ve seen it as cold sores on the mouth and I once had a child I nannied for pick it up on her legs at the playground. It’s easy to treat but needs to be treated

yesss always push them for answers because sometimes drs can be dismissive. My daughter had a cyst on her airway causing her to lack oxygen.. they said it’s fine it’s just laryngomalacia. I pushed them to test her and found a massive cyst growing on her airway 3 days later. I would do what makes YOU feel the most comfortable and safe and if that’s asking for further tests then do that. 💛

I agree with the above comments about the hsv due to the blistering and location, if you go to your nearest walk in centre you can demand a second opinion or I would try and get an urgent appointment with your GP, be persistent otherwise they will try to fob you off x
