Look up the cat distribution system

Keep her warm, get her food, make sure you get a litter box and show her it immediately

yes this!! And a scoop for the litter box as well, maybe some toys?

Yes, toys! Also maybe a collar w a bell just in case she tries to hide around the house you can hear her when she moves

And schedule that vet visit.

Congrats on being chosen by her!! Blankets, water, wet and dry food, a vet visit, some toys, litter box, and most importantly patience! She’ll probably meow during the night bc a new environment is scary but stay calm and reassure her and you’ve got a new friend for life

Take her to the vet and keep her. Congratulations on your blessings 😭💞

Get a litter box and some unscented litter. (Don't forget the pooper scooper.) And some decent food. Food and water bowl. And a vet check as soon as possible.

Keep her in a bathroom or separated room from other pets until you can get her to a vet. She’ll need to be vaccinated against rabies before you introduce her to other animals. Ask the vet about flea treatments and treatment for worms. Worms are common in strays and easy to resolve. Don’t give over the counter flea meds until you know how old she is. You can do a dawn dish soap bath as temporary treatment. Put a ring of soap around her neck and soap the body. Use same temperature water you’d wash a baby in. Don’t get water or soap on the face or ears. Cat box and toys and a bed for comfort.

Start her in only one room with litter box on one side and food and water on the other side. Give her a couple days then open the door for her to check out her new environment a little further. Keeping her secluded the first three or so days gives her time to form a secure home base and if it’s your room she’ll get to know your scent and if you’re lucky snuggle. I second taking her to the vet asap and spay when she’s ready. You’re going to need litter box and scoop, food and water dishes, wet food/dry food, toys, nail trimmer (eventually- get the vet to do it at your appointment the first time at least until you build trust). Was this a feral cat?

Yes she’s a feral cat, we saw her at the gas station actually and I told my husband to get her because the big cats there were beating her up 😭💔 we’ve been talking about a cat for a while and we’ll I guess the cat distribution system said here you go 😭❤️

Okay I put her in a big kennel right now she has food water and a nice bunch of blankets for the night and even a litter box fits in there with room. I figured she’d be most cozy in there ❤️❤️❤️

If you get a collar please get a break away collar. Also, Stay away from the Hartz brand they’re terrible.

Our Humane Society has tips on new pets online so maybe check that out?
