35+3.. suddenly can’t stop worrying about stillbirth, something awful going wrong.. everything.
I can’t sleep it’s keeping me up, I’m obsessing over her movements. It’s like a nagging feeling! We did suffer 2 early losses before we caught with her so I’m wondering if I have a little like ptsd?!
Is anyone else worrying this bad? Is it normal? X

I am 36+6 and am having the exact same thoughts. It’s all consuming and causing so much anxiety but I don’t want to call triage for reduced movement as I don’t want to risk being induced and feel like I’m just being paranoid. Not sure if it’s normal to have a huge wave of anxiety at this point or not but you’re definitely not alone x

I’m 37+2 and started panicking about still birth or me dying which is completely irrational as there’s no reason for it other than irrational fear and the thought that it’s so close to the finish line

I feel the same, and in the same boat with previous losses. I haven’t worried about much this whole pregnancy and now I’ve hit 37 weeks i can’t stop having these intrusive thoughts. I feel the same about reduced movements too, if I don’t feel her for awhile or I’ve been distracted and haven’t noticed her I worry. I’ve also had 2 videos come up on my tiktok FYP today about stillborns and it’s making me overthink everything. I’ve almost called triage a few times today thinking I haven’t felt her move in a while and every time she’s moved around just as I start thinking about it so I know I’m definitely worrying about nothing, but it’s exhausting!

perhaps it’s just what happens.. a sudden surge of worry has to be normal doesn’t it? Probably because we know the end is near but we don’t know when that’ll be? I know I struggle with the unknown quite badly, ahhh it’s so hard.
I’d happily call in if I felt I needed to, they wouldn’t induce if they didn’t feel it was necessary xx

honestly I feel like I need to just sit down all day every day so I know she’s still moving. When I’ve had a busy day i suddenly panic and think omg if something was wrong I wouldn’t know because I haven’t stopped to concentrate on her x

This is my 1st pregnancy and been exactly the same, even though I have no reason to think this.
I mentioned it in another group and someone explained it as like the ‘mumma bear’ instinct kicking in before baby arrives as our hormones are geared to protect our little cubs. Which made total sense to me. It is horrible though, especially at 3am when you feel like the only person in the world who is awake worrying

I am exactly the same. 35+5 and the last few days I’ve been extremely anxious and worried, to the point I’m considering an elective c-section so I can be more in control. The feeling is awful even though I had cero complications during the whole pregnancy 😭

You are not alone 🫶💐

Me too I’m having the same thought I’ve waited 12 years for this and managed to get to nearly 37 weeks and I can’t help thinking it’s all gonna be taken away from me 😭I just want her here now x

I can relate to this, too. She's our rainbow baby, and anxiety has been high most of the pregnancy, but it seems to be a different kind of anixety now as we approach the finish line.

I’m the same ❤️ this post and these comments have made me feel way less alone. Thank you all xx
