Y’all, I am SO tired like painfully exhausted and I cannot sleep. 😭😭😭

It’s 2am right now and I had to get up and come sit in the living room because I started having a panic attack and didn’t want to wake my husband. I’m rolling around in bed with my mind racing and so tired it hurts. Baby is kicking constantly at night. Furthermore, I’m under an extreme amount of pressure to get our house ready to host our baby shower next weekend, and I can barely do a load of laundry right now without needing a nap. I’m on week 33 and the fatigue is hitting so hard. I really just want to cancel the shower but idk what to do, a ton of family are traveling in for this and my husband has been breaking his back helping me get little projects done around the house. I would feel horrible to call it off. And I’m probably overthinking it because I’m an anxious mess right now. Thanks for letting me rant.

Anyone else up struggling with insomnia??? 😣🥺

Can you ask your friends and family to take on small jobs each to lighten the load for you? Just tell them you’re really anxious and taken on more than you and handle. And you don’t want to cancel as people are travelling etc. If you ask people for help people will want to help out! Just get someone else to set up and do tasks for you if you can! And don’t drive yourself for a baby shower, it’s just an event. Maybe reduce the things you are doing to lighten the load and delegate some things out. People will want to help you and make sure you have a nice day! Not sure if that helps, but you sound really anxious. Look after yourself first, and if that means you cancel the event or just massively simplify and ask someone else to host it. Good luck xxxxx

I know exactly how u feel. This was me but for my gender reveal. I was 24 weeks at the time. I’m either up all night or sleep so lightly that paper falling could wake me up. And don’t get me started on the hrs of heartburn and need to pee once I manage to even get comfortable. By the time the actual party happened I was so tired. I was present for a bit talked to everyone a little but as soon as we poped that ball so everyone knows what we’re having i excuses myself to go lay down for a bit and went straight to sleep. My husband checked in on me, left me food and water and he took over hosting the party for the remainder of the time and just let everyone know who asked where I was that I had to take a nap. He joked with everyone that it’s exhausting building a person from scratch.

My advice would be u don’t have to cancel if u don’t want to. If it’s all close family and friends they will understand. They can hang out with ur husband if u have to leave for a nap or to even just rest for a bit. They could eat, play games or catch up with each other until u can come back to joining the party.

Yes it's pretty common in the third trimester

Ask for help with the baby shower!!! You shouldn’t have to be so anxious and stressed about it. I was and I decided to delegate and ask for friends and family who wanted to help. Traditionally, baby showers aren’t hosted by the parents and by others. It’s to celebrate you, your husband and the baby!
