Hi everyone. I was about to start our 6th FET at the beginning of September but, my baseline scan showed a fibroid potentially imbedded in my womb so the transfer was cancelled & I was advised to wait for my period to come & then arrange an Aqua scan. Well, my period never arrived, I did a test not expecting it to be positive, but it was and now I’m panicking thinking I need to take progesterone or Prednisolone or Clexane immediately. I’m going to contact my GP in the morning to arrange a blood test but I’m so worried that I should be taking something. Has anyone else been in this situation? Were you advised to take progesterone etc?

Yes to both of your last questions. I was having a break before starting my 2nd transfer and even stopped folic acid and was drinking too

You may not necessarily need medication. My understanding with the progesterone is that they supply it because they are fully in control of your hormones whereas when you get pregnant naturally obviously your body produces what it needs to. They might think it’s a good idea to supplement with progesterone just in case but don’t panic, your body is doing what it needs to (huge congratulations!!) x

did you get prescribed any medication?
