Anyone else have a job where they have to stand all day? I am really struggling. I’m 14 weeks today, and I have no idea how I’m going to make it through this pregnancy.

I’m sorry I have no advice but you’re just so adorable 🥹😂✨✨✨

Yup I work in retail and am standing all day and often having to bend down constantly. My body is in pain all the time. I'm currently 18w. I'm worried about how I'm gonna cope later on too especially as I'm high risk and over weight x

I worry about this too. I can sit a few hours at a time and even then I feel so tired at the end of the day. I worry about doing too much and harming baby 😞.

Can’t you ask for accommodations? Look at the federal rights for pregnant workers. There are laws for this kind of thing.

Legally (in the UK anyway) they have to make adjustments to your job so that you and your baby are not put at risk. Some employers may also push for you to start maternity leave early but you don’t have to.

I’m in the same boat, my doctor recommended a belly belt when the bump starts really bumping. Currently looking for some better shoes.

You shouldn't be standing all day. You need to find time to take breaks and rest. Talk to your employer about accommodations to make work life easier on you and baby. That also goes for lifting, bending, etc.... just listen to your body and take care of yourself and baby.

Ur belly omg it just makes me smile 🥰🥰🥰, I’m 15 weeks and with my job lol they know I don’t listen. I snack every hour on the floor and go to the break room and sit for a bit or go outside to get air due to smells. My boss have me as a cashier or fitting room bt I’m like yea I feel weird at times when I’m dizzy. I learned that majority of jobs put their business first than us employees. So be it, ima put me and my health first because they can’t fire me when all I’m doing is caring for my health cuz of this baby

Yes I bartend four nights a week from 6 pm to 3 am. If you barely think about it and just do it it’ll be easier. So basically be delusional with yourself and your golden hahahaga

haha this has been me for the past 3 months with school and work full time. But I wonder what kind of stress that causes to my little baby 😩.

girl I feel you I’m in nursing school but rarely have to stand other than lab so it’s not terrible. But work, I could only imagine the stress on our little ones. But everyday I wake up I watch my neighbor who is also pregnant go for a three mile run, morning sickness and all and I just think ok we can do this!!!

thanks for that reminder!! It’s so true, I’ve had many women tell me we can do much more than we think we can when pregnant! It’s just an adjustment getting used to all the new changes.

I’m almost 16 weeks I work 40 hour work weeks where I’m up down all day long I also have a 14 month old it’s something you usually adjust to it’s a lot on your body but once you hit mid second trimester you usually start to get some more energy back which helps a ton

Take breaks and sit down! Your allowed to!!!!

I'm 13 weeks and doing anything make me throw up it slowed me doing going to my college classes on time I say just paste yourself

I’ll second what was said previously about asking for accommodations. I would also recommend really good shoes even if they aren’t super stylish. I got fitted insoles from a podiatrist (about $40—and 20x cheaper than the good feet store). I also recommend the Hoka Clifton 9 shoe (expensive but worth the investment)

I’m a nurse and I work 12s and I literally have to sit down every small chance I get! I’m 16 weeks and it’s horrible!
