After breastfeeding my 4 week old, she spits ip after some time even though I burp her diligently. Sometimes it’s a thick white material, and sometimes it’s very milky as if the ingested milk comes out undigested. Is this normal? The quantity of the spit up is not much but it’s frequent.

Yes this is normal! As long as it’s not a lot. It can be frequent though. My 3mo still does this. Try pace feeding and burping more regularly during the feed. Sometimes spit up will be curdled milk that’s just processed milk but don’t worry as long as it’s small amounts

Ours does this!! He’s 6 weeks now.
The biggest thing I’ve been told by our pediatrician is to make sure they’re not getting upset while spitting up. It also almost always looks like more than it actually is.

This helps a lot! Thanks mommas ❤️

Mine all the sudden started spitting up at about 4 weeks here and there. I changed breastfeeding positions to a more upright position and that's really helped
