Advice: needing to learn to make friends as a neurodivergent (soon-to-be) mum

25+5, 39yo.
I was diaganosed with Autism last year. I’m not social at all and find social situations stressful, particularly with women my own age - I’ve tried over the years but I always feel like an outsider. I would hate if it seems like I’m being rude as I don’t mean it to be, I find small talk exhausts me & I don’t know the social cues. I tend to spend my socialising time with my family and that works for me. However, now I’m expecting, I really want to be more social and have the “mum friends” - I am aware I will need more of a support network and I especially don’t want my baby being held back socially because of my lack of interest in other people. Any advice from other neurodivergent or introvert mums?

Hey me and my partner are the same! Feel free to message me, although I’m not the best at replying obviously 😂 where do you live? X

This is absolutely the same for me - I hate the messaging part, I find it so stressful. It’s honesty such a relief that there are other women feeling the same, thank you
