My little one's face has severe rashes or acne. A visit to the doctor said its baby acne and it will go. As at the, there were only few spots, the spots multiplied after 3 days ( as seen in picture). As at yesterday, the spot has spread to her neck and shoulder. Today, the spot appeared on her tummy, butt and hand.
I was using kokos baby oil to cream her body. When the rashes appeared, I stopped and started to use unrefined she's butter. Two days ago, I started using aveeno baby bath soap. Today someone else recommended aveeno dermexa. I applied it in her face and immediately, more spot appeared đ
Does anyone have experience with this? What's the quickest remedy?

My baby also experienced this. We stopped moisturising after bath-time and now bath bed every other day instead of daily. Havenât seen them again

My son broke out really badly too and I was so scared. Dr said baby acne. I ordered Tubby Todd after reading lots of reviews. Helped within 24 hrs and cleared it up in a couple days. Some ppl in reviews say it didnât work or made them break out more but worked really well for me.

Donât put anything on it apart from breastmilk if you can âŚ.clean face with warm waterâŚpat dry apply breastmilkâŚpat dry âŚ.my boy had server acne, also turned out he had CMPA too x

My son had a skin reaction when he was about your little girls age. I didnât figure out his bath soap was causing the issue until a few baths after using it because he initially had a delayed reaction and then when the rash did start it was real bad real quick! You know her skin reacted to the oil so now you know you canât use that. Stop using the Shea butter and literally everything you are putting on your babyâs skin.
The only way to find out what she is reacting to is to use 1 product at a time for a set period to see if a reaction happens.
What you need to do now is use absolutely nothing, no baby oil or other name branded stuff. Wash your girl in water and use coconut oil as moisturiser or adult Vaseline (baby one has fragrance so stay away). Use this for a week and see if her skin starts to go down.
My son is 4 months old and I bath him every other day in oat and coconut milk then when he comes out I use extra virgin coconut oil to moisturise every inch of him including hair

Use coconut oil twice thrice a day . Like take a cotton n just tap with coconut oil on the area having acne. Dont let the area get dry. N in case its on head aswell then try mustella shampoo for newborn

When you saw the dr did you mention that this came up after using certain products?
I have Atopic Dermatitis so know exactly what happened to my son and how to treat it so getting him diagnosed was simple, my midwife at the time made us go to hospital for it and in the end they just told me he had it which I knew. I brought it down with water and olive oil but it only done so much, so I switched the olive oil to coconut oil and it helped a lot but he is now on steroids to bring down the last of it.
Because I used product after product I caused a issues that will keep flaring up and irritate him for 4 months but ideally if you go back to nothing on your baby now you can prevent further damage and the need of steroids later on. When she gets older she will start to scratch and it will get really horrible for her to deal with.

My LO has baby acne on her cheeks too..following for advice

My little girl had this when she was about a month old, the doctor gave me a thick cream for it. I canât remember the exact name for it but if you pop me a message I can send you it in the morning! They definitely have things they can do on prescription that can clear it up!

I would stop using any creams or anything. A baby is so sensitive. Unless they somehow get muddy they also shouldn't have a bath. You want them to build strong immune systems. So bathing schedule is like every other week.. I bathed my daughter a handful of times before she was walking. Don't get me wrong if she was dirty I rinsed her but with no soap. It helped her skin tremendously. Skin issues can become issues from stripping their natural bacteriaâ¨

Clothing detergent can be a big allergen too. My husband gets rash everywhere from even unscented products. We use ecover now, no more rashes.

Best to stop using moisturiser for a few days. Eucrean is the one we are using and it doesnât have many chemicals but I would pause on putting anything on her skin for a few days to give it a chance to clear up naturally x

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences.
@Emma, I will follow your suggestions and reduce the number of baths.
@Vanessa I'm glad Tubby Todd worked for you.
@Zara it's not hest rashes. Those spots started as few scattered spot before it got that really bad. It appears that breast milk didn't work for it because more spot appeared after spilled milk during feeding.
It might be detergent or soap. I'm keeping an eye on that.
I have always used the same detergent for her and even iron her clothes after drying.
Looking back, it seemed like one factor that changed before the rashes was the cotton wool. The organic cotton wool I bought from boots finished and therfore we bought the Asda little angel cotton wool.

pls what's CMPA and how long did it take for your boy's acne to clear?

it seems the breast milk didn't work on mine. More cluttered spot appeared on the cheek where milk touched.

the pedi we visited didn't recommend anything, he just said ( its common and would clear by itself)

thank you for pointing this out. I'll keep an eye on the detergent as well.

when we visited the doctor, I raised my concern about this and as at then, we were only using Kokos baby oil.
The doctor just said it wasn't product related that it's hormone related and that some baby gets acne and showed me pictures on his screen.

I'll try reducing the number of bath

thanks, I'll try this

okay well the best way to know is to eliminate everything for a little while and see if there is any improvement. You already know they are wrong as you said it only appeared after the oil and then was made worse by all the other products tried.
Funny because when my son had his last vaccine 4 weeks ago the nurse randomly commented on my sons cheeks saying âoh you see that on his cheeks? Itâs heat rash!â Even though I never asked. I was like âwell no actually he has Atopic Dermatitis and is in a flare up!â Suddenly she was like âoh right I seeâ and after seeing the same thing on my hands advised we both saw the dr. As soon as I saw the dr I repeated what the nurse said and the dr was adamant that type of rash was not heat rash for sure and told me he got his issue from međ¤Śđ˝ââď¸ which I agree and thatâs how I know how to deal with him.
If you have any oats put some in a sock and put into in your LOâs bath before she gets in, it will sooth her skin regardless what it is.

Baby had the same. We used organic coconut oil multiple times a day. Not sure if itâs what worked but I promise it will clear up.
