Adding cereal with formula

Are people primarily doing this for reflux reasons?

I am! My daughter was originally on enfamil AR and then she developed a milk allergy and was switched to nutramigen, I added the rice cereal so she can keep it down

I usually only add very little, less than a teaspoon more like a sprinkle, and only for her night time bottle. I keep getting told to add more rice but I’m too afraid to even try, I’m too scared to

@Trish no majority of the black community does it because it helps fill the baby up you can also add a jar of baby food and its called a knock out bottle helps then sleep all night when they are older

@Baby k I didn’t know this was more common in the black community. I appreciate learning that.
