I'm interested in starting a care plan with a holistic Doctor but since they're out of network and I have terrible health insurance, everything will be self pay.
Just the initial visit is $525! I mean apparently it's 2 hours long and is super comprehensive covering everything from my birth to what I ate for lunch that day. This is so that they can get a good idea of where to start with me and how to move forward.
Then, each follow up visit is another almost $200.
Now, if I was to go to a traditional doctor there would be little to no cost.
It's just so hard for me to rationalize the holistic approach when it's so costly. (I know, can't put a cost on health) but why are healthier, better options always more expensive.
I'm mainly interested in holistic healing, staying away from pharmaceutical meds, and just staying out of the healthcare system altogether.
Anyway - does anyone have experience/advice on this?

I don’t have any experience but for me it just wouldn’t be worth it. If you aren’t wanting to do vaccines then find a doctor that’s okay with that but like for us we definitely don’t have the money to go. But for normal doctors they don’t do much. You just go and get checked and weighed and vaccines if you do it. The only time we’d get medicine is if we made an appointment because our son was sick. If you didn’t want meds then you can google stuff and just do things yourself. I personally would just find a normal doctor to save money and just not get medicine. And get the vaccines if you want it or find someone who is okay with you not

It's worth it. That's the only pediatrician my daughter ever goes to.
