need some advice my daughters being assessed for autism and global developmental delay, I know once they start climbing out the cot you need to change it to a toddler bed but bedtime is already so so difficult with her not wanting to go to sleep or run back and forth in the cot, she doesn’t understand a lot and I’d say she mentally has the understanding of a child under 1, has anyone got any advice with what to do, how I can make bedtime easier?! I’m so not ready😭

ask to be referred to the sleep clinic if her sleep is awful. both of my autistic babies are under sleep clinic. when they started climbing out, we didnt change straight away. they just werent ready for that change

thank you I will do that, I just put a stair gate up in her room in case she does climb out again, she still wears sleeping bags at night so I’m hoping that’ll stop her lifting her leg too high
