Snuzpod or a proper crib

Hiii, ftm here and idk what I'm doing so bare with me. So baby due in May, I did want a snuzpod as they look nice and it'll be next to the bed and easy to get baby etc when (hopefully) breast feeding. But for the price it just feels so off putting that you can only use it for up to 6 months. Obviously a lot of stuff with babies they're going to grow out of quickly and need upgrading for eternity. But does anyone else have a snuzpod and feel like they could of made do with a cheaper version or just with a normal crib in the bedroom instead? If we got a crib we'd be thinking of getting one that eventually transitions into a toddler bed too. But I feel like I would prefer to have baby next to bed, and obviously you can't really do that as easily with a normal crib. And ive heard they like a smaller bed at first for comfort? Any tips or words of wisdom for me 🫣😆? Thank you xx

I wanted a snuzpod but found that they are smaller than most next to you cribs so went for a Tutti Bambino CoZee - got one nearly brand new on marketplace

We used a next to me, ebf and I didn’t think to myself ever I wish I had a different next to me. I think we also had the tutti bambini cozee (hot deal at Costco). We also moved our girl into her own room at 4 months so definitely wouldn’t have wanted to spend all that money on that. We felt okay to do this as we have the owlet. They do say keep your baby in a cot beside you for the first 6 months to prevent SIDS but the owlet gave us peace of mind to not worry about it as much. We also had a cot for her in her nursery (that she moved into at 4 months) that turns into a toddler bed.

We got a Snuzpod with our first and using it again now with our second. I got the Snuzpod because of the size, I don’t have a lot of room at the side of the bed, so it fits perfectly. It is definitely handy to have something next to you with the side down so that you can settle baby without having to get out of bed (although I do have still get up and hold this baby a lot, but the first was just a hand on chest and she was back to sleep).

I’ve got a snuzpod and I’d say just get a cheaper next 2 me! I’ll get a next 2 me for my next baby. My 5 month old outgrew the snuzpod at 4.5 months had had to go to his own room in his own cot xx

Just for reference for you… my little girl was in it until 7 months (she was small, 6lbs when born). Little boy is nearly 6 months and will probably need to move soon (he was big, 9lbs when born).

I’m going to get a tutti bambino as it looks really good and has good reviews xx

I had a Snuzpod that my boy has now outgrown of. I liked the size at the time, really suited him but he’s a long boy and grew out of it sooner than I expected. I see you’re from S Gloucestershire lol I’m from Gloucester and I’m wanting to sell mine for a lot cheaper if you’re wanting it and can travel to get it 😅😅xx

I’ve had both snuzpod and tutti bambino. Tutti bambino is so much easier to assemble/dismantle. Takes about two minutes, so if you are staying away it’s easy to take along with you. It’s also easy to make adjustments to the height or incline, the Snuzpod is SUCH a faff you’ve got to mess around with Allen keys etc

I used next to me the cot x

We had a snuzpod and it was incredible. It lasted until he was like 4-5 months then we moved him to a SnuzKot which has been brilliant. Personally if I was to do it all over again I'd choose the same x

We got our snuzpod on FB marketplace and just bought a new mattress. It’s been loaned to two other babies since mine and is ready again for our next one :)

I had a snuzpod for both of mine and to be honest found it great, I bought a second hand one from Facebook for £30 and just bought a new mattress from Amazon for £20 and could not fault it.

I loved my snuzpods! Had one by bed and one in living room. I used until my son was 6 months and he is/was a big long boy.
