My daughter is 20 months and still showing Jo interest in walking. She will “walk” on her knees and will stand on all 4s looking through her knees but won’t attempt to stand herself. She can pull up onto the sofa but doesn’t really walk along it as such, more just wants up to sit. She will walk if I put her into a standing position and hold her but always still on tip toes and rarely flat feet. She will crawl everywhere and is super fast at climbing stairs so it’s not like she isn’t capable of moment. Have been to physio twice and they have no concerns. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same position or experienced the same as it is really getting us down and we feel stuck at what we can do with her activity wise since she still won’t walk 😔

Have you got a walker? One you can sit in and one you stand and walk with? Both really helped my son. He was walking at 10.5 months. I’m not saying those are the reason why but they might be worth a shot x
She has a balance bike which she can ride on and has a pram but won’t really stand to push it. Will look to see if there’s something more sturdy than she has. It probably doesn’t help being so big and getting the strength and confidence to pull herself up poor thing. Thank you though!

My daughter only started walking at 17m and she would get about everywhere on her knees superrrr quickly. I had so many comments from friends/family about how she wasn’t walking yet and how she was “late” in hitting her milestone. But now she walks and is unstoppable!
I spent some time on just trying to get her to stand by herself and once she could do that she was off. I had all the walkers/baby sized prams in the world but none of them really helped and she only likes them now that she can walk lol!
Don’t worry she will get there in her own time. All babies develop differently!

Is she a big baby by any chance? My daughter walked on her knees until she was 18 months old. I was sooo worried. I would suggest constantly making sure she doesn’t walk on her knees and just keep pulling her up. Also, I used to hold her hand and go for a walk. Even though she didn’t take ONE step alone, I used to walk her for 10 minutes a day minimum. Honestly, it helped sooo much. One day she just got up and started walking completely normal. Hopefully this helps xx

My baby started walking at 18 months . She had the basics down like your baby but it wasn’t until we had a play date with another baby her age that was walking that my baby started . Literally the next day my baby was taking steps . But she still preferred crawling for a month after that , it took a lot of encouragement and standing her up until she started walking more than crawling .
