I'm currently 38 + 2. I've been on mat leave for 3 weeks. I've got everything ready for baby, house is clean etc but I feel like I have cabin fever. My body has become exhausted the past month so I can't physically do things that I would usually do to pass time like long walks with my pooch.
I'm rotating the same 3 outfits bc i can't fit into anything. I don't want to waste money on clothes when I could give birth any day. This is frustrating for me too bc I take pride in my appearance & like to be fashionable.
I feel guilty on my dog too- he's a staff & was getting 3 walks a week with a dog walker before I went on mat but as I'm trying to save I can't afford it. I take him as long as I can but I know he wants to see his mates.
Sorry this is really long just need to get it off my chest. My family & friends are checking in all the time but I feel totally out of touch š
Anyone else experiencing the same thing? I'm just concerned my mental health will get bad & I want it to be good for babies arrival. Will it get better?! X

I can absolutely relate. Iām so fed up and sick itās passed the point of being bearable. Mentally I wake up and want to get out and about but my mind and body are totally disconnected and I canāt move around at all due to my swollen feet and bad back so Iām pretty much house bound, Iām also so unbelievably fed up of wearing the same 4 items of clothes that just arenāt me at all and feeling like a house end. Iāve found the last 4 weeks are when Iāve re really started to struggle and hate everything about this process. If your like me and care about what you look like then this will be killing you too because itās just crap and self esteem has just gone out of the window. I just keep trying to remind myself that itās not forever and focus on the things I can change and feel good about like skin and hair care to try make myself feel better. Sorry Iām not much help at all but hopefully it makes you feel a bit better knowing youāre not alone in how you feel x
hii. Thank you for sharing š¤ honestly as awful as it sounds, I'm glad I'm not alone!! Feels like I've totally lost myself & what I would usually do to improve my mental health just doesn't feel possible. I think you spend so much time preparing & getting ready for this moment that the last few weeks drag like crazy!! I really hope you feel better soon š¤ not long xxx
