I had my 12 week scan yesterday and they found that baby had no heartbeat and stopped growing at 8 weeks. I’m booked in for surgical removal on Wednesday. I’m just so scared that I will start to bleed before then as I don’t want to see the baby 😭! I feel like as it’s already been 4 weeks (even though I’m aware baby can become smaller and smaller the longer it’s in there) surely I’m going to start bleeding very soon? If you were booked in for surgical removal and started bleeding prior to it, did they bring you in sooner or ask you to carry on at home? X

If you start bleeding before it depends on how much bleeding. If you’ve started to pass they tell you to do it naturally at home and monitor bleeding. I went through this a couple year ago with my first pregnancy, my baby stopped growing at 9 weeks. It’s awful and i don’t wish the amount of pain on anyone!! My inbox is always open if you need someone to talk🤍 I went in a couple days after my 12 week scan and started to bleed on the day whilst i was at the hospital, but because my bleeding was very minimal they still went ahead with the procedure, they just told me if it starts to get heavier and there’s clots that they’ll send me home. luckily it didn’t get heavy and i had the procedure done. I didn’t want to see the baby either. Try not to stress over passing it before your appointment! Just spend these next couple days for yourself and resting! Go out and do something you enjoy the most! I’m so sorry for your loss🤍

Thank you 🤍 x

Hanna, I'm terribly sorry for your loss🤍 I'm also waiting. I found out 8 days ago at 10+2 that babies heart beat stopped around 8+5. I still have no symptoms of miscarriage and it's such a difficult and confusing time. I've opted for surgical management on Monday. I had a spontaneous miscarriage last year, and as difficult as it was, I realise now I was lucky because there was no waiting, no difficult decisions to make. This time round the waiting in limbo has been awful. Wishing you all the best for the next part and your recovery xx

I don’t regret going for the surgical option at all. The hardest part was waiting to be put to sleep in the room. Knowing you’re going to sleep pregnant and waking up not 😞! It is so unbelievably painful (emotionally). I feel like each day has gotten harder and I’m waiting to feel some sort of normality again. Life can be so cruel. I am so sorry you’re having to go through this for a second time as well 😞 🤍🤍

hi sorry your loss, before your appointment did you feel anything is wrong or any bleeding or pain or you still felt normal with your pregnancy symptoms…. I’m asking because I’m worried for myself
