Hi everyone. So I have a BG who is almost 5 months. My partner and I aren’t really together but we are co parenting. I live with my family and he lives within a half hour walk. He has two other children and yesterday I said I wasn’t really doing a big Xmas. I’ll get a tree and pressies for BG but I won’t be doing Xmas for anyone else as maternity pay really is NOT the one!!! He then got really offended that I wouldn’t buy him a gift from his other two children which he sees every two weeks. But birthday and Christmas their mum has bought a gift to give to their dad.
Is it my responsibility to ensure I buy gifts from the other two kids to give to him? Even if we aren’t together. And let’s say we ended up getting back together- would it be my responsibility when the mum already does this????

Definitely not your responsibility and a bit ridiculous and selfish of him to say it is. He already has gifts coming from them! In my opinion, you shouldn't even need to justify it from a financial perspective either as it shouldn't even be a request.
