I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant. I asked my boyfriend that hasn’t been to my last couple appointments if he knows how many weeks I am now.. and he says 34. I’ve definitely told him when I hit the 34 week mark & 35 week mark. Should I be upset? I feel like he doesn’t care about me or our baby.

Is he working a lot to provide for you and the baby.
He is working a lot, I don’t know if I would say for the baby. He’s been trying to fix his car and other things. Not knocking him at all though, he recently bought a carseat but and he buys me food whenever I’m hungry and craving it but his income doesn’t just go to the baby & I.

Well do y’all have everything for the baby so far?
Yes we do. I just need a stroller, A lot of it I bought before I stopped working, and was donated by friends that had babies previously.

You want him to only spend money on you and baby?

Do you feel as if the baby should matter more than his outside priorities

that’s what I’m getting from this
I don’t care where his income goes. That wasn’t the point of this post, she asked a question and I answered but considering the fact that most of the stuff my baby does have I bought or was given to me by friends. He could spend some on the baby.

honestly it depends. like the previous comment is he working while those appointments are schedule or is he purposely miss them? or is he doing other things? is he grinding to make more money or business as usual? cuz if he’s missing them to do nothing, i’d be mad

When I was pregnant my husband spent a lot of time fixing one of his cars and we argued but there was a lot more going on. Now he’s completely different two years lately. Provides for absolutely everything. If he’s the same way I suggest just give him time or focus on yourself more. He probably has a lot on his mind. But that’s no excuse to not be there for appointments. Only if you said you wanted him there. Other than that maybe he’s nervous. Doesn’t know what to expect
Kinda, I went to the hospital the other day, thought I was having contractions and he said he would bring me but ended up not even coming.
But he went to his friend’s house later that same day I got discharged from the hospital.

I would not be upset over that ; not all men pay attention to things like that.
Thanks everyone for your opinions.

Ok for 1.. NOWHERE in this post did she say that she’s expecting this man to only spend his time & money with/on her + their child.. Please remember that she is PREGNANT so hormones play a big role here!
Replying to the post: It’s definitely okay to be upset, we all had/have our moments.. Of course you’d want him to remember certain things and be at appointments. I say try having a conversation with him? He works so maybe he’s tired and forgets things or maybe it’s just a lot on his head because a baby isn’t only a big change for a mother but it is a big change for a father as well.. There can be a whole lot of “maybes”, but you’ll never get to the root of what is going on until you guys talk it out!

No dear you shouldn’t be upset, him mistaking 34 and 36 weeks it’s not a big of a deal. Sometimes myself I mix numbers.
As long as he is working and he is present you should be fine. Men change a lot once the baby is born so I’d suggest to just wait and see without bringing stress onto yourself.
Maybe this is a good time to have a conversation with him about how you would like him to be more present, give him specific details and bring examples of when he did something that made you feel lonely

I think pregnant people are a lot more in tune with the progress of our pregnancies than most partners would be. It makes sense, this is happening to us, in us, and has a direct impact on our health and well-being. I wouldn't worry too much, but if there's something more that you need from him right now he may need you to tell him directly. 💗
thank you Taliyanna! I feel like the post was definitely redirected into his income and all I was doing was answering a question. I tried multiple conversations with him always giving him reminders, I feel as if he makes these broken promises saying he’s going to come (his boss would let him come, its a small business not corporate) all he has to do his tell him but I feel like he doesn’t tell him on purpose. I try to not make a big deal out of it but it happens so much. I’m having a iron infusion today and would like his company and he said he would try to make it but I know he’s just saying that to make me feel better because he doesn’t even know any details about the appointment. (where it is, what time it is, etc)

When I was pregnant I was feeling the same way. I still let him know how I felt because it really bothered me. But my daughter is now 14 months and he loves her more than himself. I felt he was worried about all the wrong things too but when she came he literally got some sense knocked into him. The first night he came home he was watching YouTube videos to help himself take care of her, a few days prior when I was in pain!!! He was staying up all night to play GTA.
ALLL this to say, it really depends on the man but some really have to see and experience the birth to become a dad. It’s not like us, some women immediately have that connection and devotion.
Hope this helps.

If he went to his friends house that’s not acceptable. You have every right to feel the way you do and I’m sorry you going through that

Feel free to be upset! Don't let anyone make you think you shouldn't be.
You can go into labor at any moment.
36 weeks means you are in the 9th month.
Not sure what kind of men everyone else has, but if it's important to YOU, it's supposed to be important to HIM... Especially while you're pregnant.
Missing appts right now are unacceptable.
I was at an appt for my first child when they discovered an issue and started prepping me for an emergency C Section.
Definitely don't start an argument by expressing your feelings.
Men are wired differently, you have to spell everything out for them !
