I don't have the heart to kick him out of the bedroom at night, but I might have to! My sweet baby boy cat Salem will NOT stop licking me!! It gets to the point his sandpaper tongue is seriously irritating my skin. On top of that, I am moderately allergic to cats (obviously not enough not to have them, but they're also not usually getting saliva all over my arms)
Has anyone else dealt with something similar?? It's a new habit as I just entered the third trimester. He's been clingy the whole pregnancy and has licked me on occasion in the past, but it has only now become an issue. Is it just the hormones, or could there be something wrong with him (or me??)

I’m so sorry that you are going through this, I had the same cat (russian blue) and he passed away and my guilt never went away. Yes it’s because he absolutely senses the pregnancy and is showing extra care. Very caring and sweetest cat breed. Mine used to literally pee on my tummy area on blankets. I don’t think anythings wrong and he’s just marking his territory and I hope you come up with a solution, best would be to probably keep him in a separate room at least until after birth? Good luck🥹

Awww what a sweet little cat. So caring and loving. Kicking him out might upset him and cause him to pee on your bed when you leave the door open. Happened to me😅, but I didnt have a baby on the way. Where will your baby sleep?
Where would your cat sleep when baby comes? Maybe get him used to not be in bed with you as often, not sure how. Good luck, I love his tenderness.
