Nipt testing

I had the same results on my first, currently waiting for the second results. Does anyone know why this happens?

Weight and medication can affect the results

I had to redo twice as well the first time not enough dna 2ed time was a lab issue

My first one came back “Not Reportable” due to not enough DNA. Second one came back with a decreased risk of one of the conditions. Doing additional testing to hopefully rule it out. 🤞🏻

the only medications I’m taking are metformin, my thyroid meds and the prenatals. I was told it could be weight, age, medication or auto immune disease although my obgyn keeps saying that my baby is too small I will be 5 months tomorrow

I never heard of people having to do it more than twice it’s my first time having to redo it a 3rd time with my first pregnancy I only had to do it once I weight the same as I did my first time I’m hoping this case is cus of my age I was 27 with my first I’m 30 now

Do they not offer any other dna testing?

there may be other tests especially since you’re farther along. I’d ask about this. Age shouldn’t play much of an issue, I’m 34 and normal weight.

At this point they may end up asking to do an amnio. Much more invasive and a biiiiit riskier but that one shouldn't get "insufficient" results
