red spot on eye

hi guys! my baby poked his eye yesterday while sleeping and i just noticed this today, im currently at a family members house and 2 hours away from his pediatrician, should i go in to get it checked out, or is this not too worrisome? it hasn’t got anymore red, no gunk, and he’s not irritated by it he lets me look at his eye and everything without fussing. i just don’t know what to do

my daughter got this once. she likes to suck on the palm of her hand and occasionally pokes herself in the eye. from the looks of it, it’s most likely just a popped blood vessel. if it’s not bothering him and isn’t getting any worse, i wouldn’t worry about it. but you can always bring him in if it’ll ease your mind! or you can call your clinic to see if they have a 24 hour nurse line and ask them!
