Roseola or something else?!
Has anyone’s LO had Roseola? How long does it last for the skin rash to go away? Any remedy?! 😓 could it be something else?!
It started with high fever and the rash started when the fever broke! We think it’s Roseola. His pediatrician saw him and said just to wait to see if it goes away by Monday. But it breaks my heart to see him like this! He has no fever or pain now and doing fine.

Try Aquaphor healing baby ointment. Then my oldest had something similar they recommended it. It helped a little.
My daughter had Roseola and it actually started off with a high fever for a couple of days and then the rash broke out. So if that is what happened with you LO then I would say that it is Roseola and the rash lasts about a week. It doesn’t really go away faster with anything but our doctor recommended using her eczema lotion.
It sounds like roseola. My 3 year old has had it several times but never that severe. Doesn't look like an allergic reaction so the diagnosis seems right considering the fever! It shouldn't bother him, and it will go away in time. The biggest risk of roseola is seizures for kids with a low threshold for it from the fever. So you've made it past the hardest part!
thanks for sharing your experience! He had mild rash right after the fever broke and it went away for 2 days and returned in a red severe rash from face to toe with no fever. That’s why I’m worried that why the rash repeated after 2 days! 😓 was it similar to your daughter? Did it took a whole week for the rash to go away?

Did it 100% go away, and then a new rash started? That would definitely give me other suspicions.
