I am a FTM and I feel like I am doing something wrong.
My baby is 1 month and 2 days old and he is formula fed.
We originally fed him Cow and Gate but after some research I thought maybe it was causing the issue.
I have now switched to Kendimil but he has only been on this for 2 days so I'm not expecting a change to be imminent.
He is going 33 hours mimimum without pooing but is in pain during this time, he feeds well but after each feed he puts his legs up goes red in the face and strains!
I give him infacol with his feeds and I massage his belly and do the bicycle legs but I just can't get his bowls moving and I dont know what to do anymore.
Doctors won't do anything until he's gone 72 hours without pooing so I'm at a loss now.
Any help/advice would be appreciate
TIA x

When my little boy was a baby I heard a lot of theories on how to help little ones poo, the suggestion was to give a pre-made version of the milk your giving your baby and it defiantly worked for us, worth a go x

If you can afford to see a chiropractor 100% do! The difference they can make is crazy! No need for baby to have medication etc they just need there body repositioning from birth to relieve the tension and stop it happening moving forward

Sorry I didn't mention in my original post but he was 5 weeks premature, would this make any difference?

@Zoe this may be a stupid question, but do all chiropractors deal with newborns or would I have to find a specific one?

you’d have to ideally find a specific one or contact your local area ones to see if they do any newborn readjustments

Do you think it could be related or separate? The doctors told me if they are formula fed going 3/4 days without pooing is normal. My little boy always lifted his legs up and went red in the face and it was because he had reflux. He screamed everytime I laid him on his back to sleep.
I heard HIPP organic is really good for babies that don’t go often xxx
