Struggling to wind baby

I used infacol for a couple of weeks and it worked fantastic, recently stopped due to her having reflux and we went straight back to basics to see if it was getting worse due to anything else xx

We use Dentinox, does the same thing as Infacol I believe. Helps so much in getting her to burp and she’s so much more settled now😊

Infacol/gripe water didn’t work for us, I found a new way to wind. Sit baby upright supporting the back of the head and chest/abdomen and circle their stomach/hips like “sexy circles” in aerobics. Works a treat for us! But took about 15 different winding techniques to get there so defo try different things. Also keep baby upright for an hour from the start of feed before laying flat - this works amazing on a night to ensure she sleeps through to the next feed as any left over wind evaporates/settles.

Infacol is the only thing that has helped our girl. She now burps and toots all the way through her feeds 😂

What position do you usually wind him in? I find my little one finds it easier to burp when I hold her up to my shoulder instead of sitting position. Also using dentinox has been helping too! She doesn’t even need winding sometimes as the burp comes out before she gets into position lol x

I'm having a similar issue. I do find sometimes changing burping positions helpful but I'm not always successful at burping my baby.

I wanted to ask with those of you using dentinox, how much do you give and how often? My baby hates it so much but I want to try and give it a go if it will be helpful.

We’ve seen a definite improvement with infacol!

it says on the box to put the 2.5ml dose in no more than 6 times a day so I usually put it in every other feed and she’s never been bothered by it that way :) x

2.5ml dose just looks massive 😂. Also my baby hates it. I'm sure he starts gagging just at the smell of it 😂. I'll persevere and see how it goes x

it really does I think that every time I put it in 😂 I’m literally thinking like how does she not taste that lol. Do you usually put it in his feed or in the mouth? Xx

I know I sound like a broken record but have you tried Infacol? It smells like oranges and my little one looooves it. She gets excited when I get it out and when she smells it.

thank you - I put it in his mouth as I breastfeed. He hates it and hated infacol too. He's actually 1 month now so I'm trying gripe water with him which he finds easier to take so that's better already. is that something you could try if your little one is 1 month old or more? I think different ones (IE infacol, dentinox, coleif, gripe water) work for different babies. Good luck x
