Baby led weaning…?

My little one is approaching 6 months and we’re looking to start BLW soon. The guidelines seem to be that baby has to be able to sit up unaided…does this mean generally, or with the support of a high chair?

My little one has good neck strength but in terms of sitting, he still topples to one side if I were to place him in a sitting position on the floor. Does this mean he isn’t ready?

It means more sitting properly in the high chair ie sitting up straight and not slumping over its to the can swallow correctly ect and have enough muscle control.

Just so you know the baby doesn't have to know how to get into a sitting position as it takes longer for them often but as soon as they can sit independently for a few minutes they're fine :)

does this mean sitting independently on the floor without any support/props, or does it mean being able to sit in a high chair/with support? Because mine cannot sit without support on the floor, he topples over
