I went to the doctors about my little boys rash yesterday. She doesn’t want to class it as eczema just yet! And all she’s given me is moisturising cream to apply 3 times a day! And told me to put it in his bath as well. She also told me to wait a month until I come back. But I woken up this morning and bless him it’s gotten 2x worse than what it was! He’s itching quiet abit and I feel so sorry for him…. I’m worried that if I leave it a month on how bad it will actually get.

Can you contact your doctors and show a pic of how it had gotten worse

I could possibly try tomorrow morning. I just find it so so difficult to get an appointment these days! I normally ring up at 8am when they open and it takes around an hour to get through and then they just say they Havant got any appointments and to ring back tomorrow at 8 to see if there’s any available 😂

If your not happy with what the doctor is saying go back and get a second opinion, mums know best

I have always had eczema throughout my whole life and I would rash up like this!! I would request a different doctor for a different opinion honestly, I can’t tell from the photo but it does look like it to me :( it could also be an allergic reaction to a detergent used on the clothes

yeah I was thinking about getting a 2nd opinion tbh. I’ve just changed detergent so hopefully that helps

We had the exact same thing with my little boy! They told me to apply the moisturiser 4-6 times a day though as well as the bath. I stuck to it and it genuinely made such a difference! Also changed to Fairy non bio detergent and his skin has improved so much x

Looks exactly like eczema, my little one gets it and it looks just like this! It’s always worse during the colder months too. He was prescribed zeroveen which works really well then also has an emollient600 solution for the bath, not sure if that’s the official name but comes in a mint green bottle. Try get those as they work brilliantly :)

what you’ve said is exactly what I’m doing now 😂

Try an oat bath & only wearing Cotten for a bit , sometimes they get random skin issues but they disappear in a few weeks , try not to worry and just work on eliminating things that could cause it, there skin is so bran new that it sometimes randomly breaks out and disappears over time x .

If the eczema is bad moisturiser is important but not enough. I would not wait a month, your baby is itching the next step could be that he scratches himself (that happened to my LB despite me constantly trimming his nails). My LB was eventually given steroid cream and anti histamine for the itching (as well as bathing cream and moisturiser). We had this last year and initially they said they’ll see me in a couple of weeks but I insisted to be seen sooner and in the meantime took a photo every night of his torso to compare.

I’d definitely try an oatmeal bath mama and contact your ped but the oatmeal bath is 100% safe and my son had a lot of skin issues and those baths are the only thing that helped

Does you baby drool alot? Because the saliva could be irritating it further so pop a bib on them and swap out regularly.
Some eczema creams you don't need a prescription to get over the counter (where i am) that said, they're weaker, but the strong ones could hurt abit so I would use weaker ones to start with since there's alot of redness

If it flares up regularly a moisturiser won't do much, Nappy rash cream will work better than a moisturiser 😂 my little one has eczema that flares up sometimes too so I've tried alot of different things😅

My daughter has eczema and the only cream that works is pure Vaseline. If it gets really bad, she needs hydrocortisone for a few days, but then always Vaseline in between

hi yes he does drool a lot. He has a bib on a lot throughout the day (:

I have a dog. This come up about a week ago.
If it was the dog I would have thought it would have come up close to the time when he was born? idk.

My LG got that once when my mum washed her clothes with a different detergent but it went so if it’s getting worse I would get a second opinion x

smells so good doesn’t it! 😂
