Family with COVID

One of my close family members have just found out they have COVID and they had my 9 week old yesterday. Is there anything anyone would recommend preparing for if he does get it and how ill he could get. Do I need to contact anyone if he does get it. We are away on holiday for 4 days so we are not close to home.
