IVF 12 week meds stop

I’m going to be in the same boat. I’m almost 6 weeks and have medication scheduled until 12 weeks.
I was told I’d be weaned off during weeks 10-12

I was weaned off all my IVF meds, currently weaning off my progesterone pessaries, dropping 1 a day every 3 days. Even doing that is making me anxious. I weaned off my pred and estrogen aswell xx

Hi, I go to Mass General Brigham and they cut you off cold turkey at 12 weeks. I was completely freaked out, even considered weaning off the meds on my own. I learned this is a bad idea because it can disrupt the development of baby’s sex organs—especially if it’s a boy. So listen to your doctor for sure! I’m 28 weeks now and baby is measuring perfectly.

I just stopped all mine at 12 weeks as advised and everything is fine :) xx

I had one week with lower doses then the following week every other day. But everyone’s protocol is different. If you’re concerned, I’d ask your doc!

But I stopped at 10 weeks. By 12 your placenta is doing that work!

They tested my progesterone levels weekly until they felt I was ready to wean off if it, around 12-13 weeks. I was nervous but everything is okay so far. I’m now 16 weeks. The placenta takes over around 12 weeks so it should provide the hormones needed. Try to trust your body but also don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself if you have concerns

I went cold Turkey at 12 weeks and so far so good 🥰

Thanks for all your help girls, my nursing team replied saying just stop completely at 12 weeks so will go with their advice , reassuring to know others have done so and all fine Xx

Hiya I stopped my ivf meds at 10 weeks and I’ve been told to take pessaries till 12 weeks

I weaned off mine. Waited till my progesterone bottle was empty and that was my lost shot. The estradiol pills I slowly started taking one a day. This was after what my fertility clinic wanted me to go to. My doctors prescribed more. So I gradually weaned off. If it was up to my husband he would have me on the medication till I gave birth lol 😂

hi Nicole which week are you in now and my doctor told me to stop at 10 weeks too . It’s scary but how did your body take it when u stopped all the meds at 10 weeks ? Did you had any blood work or checks like ultrasound at 12 weeks to see how baby is doing after stopping the meds or any side effects ?
