My four year old cat Daisy was always a shy, timid cat. She was comfortable around me and my husband but hated when guests came over. She would hide until they left. She had weird anxious ticks such as being afraid of the lighting fixtures in the kitchen and in my changing room. The littlest noise would cause her to flinch or jump. If you didn’t know better you would think she came from an abusive household but we’ve had her since she was a kitten and nothing traumatic has ever happened to her. She’s actually a very spoiled kitty. We love her to death. Ever since my son was born and came home, she has completely changed. She is actually more confident now. We make it a point to give her extra love and affection now that the baby’s here. When guests come over she comes up to them and rubs on them and lets them pet her. When the baby cries she comes up to me and meows as if she’s saying “human, take care of your baby!” She comes up to him and rubs her face on him. She watches him sleep in his bassinet. It is so cute and I am so happy. Being that she was anxious to begin with I thought the baby would make her hide and never come out. But she has really come out of her shell and loves her baby brother ❤️
