me and my boyfriend have been together for 7 years. the first couple years were rough to say the least. I recently just started logging into my business instagram and did a search for my boyfriend ex who had deleted her instagram for a while. i found her and started notice similarities and reflecting on how he made me feel regarding her. and then i had this strange urge to want to befriend her.

By title I thought it meant you were forced to befriend the ex, her perhaps still being in your lives in some way. But reaching out? Hmmm no, call a friend, call a therapist, your sister, cousin, anyone but her! I know the urge, but doing it will make you look really bad in the best case scenario, and really mess with your life in the worst case scenario. No good can come if it. Realize your wounds and work on those. What you expect a complete stranger to do about those?
