My son is 19 months and he came down with something on the Sunday, he was at his dads over the weekend so I’m not sure when it was in the day that he started to get sick but he came home quite warm and at the time I didn’t have a working thermometer because I had a shitty tommee tippee under arm one. Got a new one delivered 4pm Monday, a Braun in ear one and since then I’ve been recording fever spikes of up to 39.2 (what he is now), that during the day go down to about 36.9 lowest, they tend to come up when he’s sleeping and go down in the day, he’s eating a tiny bit less than usual but drinking a lot, he’s got a runny nose but no other symptoms. I am currently ill too and I have been having fever spikes, but I have got a cough, runny/blocked nose and a sore throat, I took a Covid test on Monday so I know I personally don’t have that. I am going to take my son to the doctors when they open but does anyone know what this could be? I’m starting to worry now. TIA x
Edit: we went to a soft play last Monday and then last Friday we went to playgroup, he’s also just started to walk around supermarkets and pick stuff up whilst he’s in there.

I think it might be a general cough a cold, my sons had the same and so have I after a week we were fine, I also work in a nursery and 90% of our preschool children have a had the same!
if you give him calpol, baby vapour on his chest, and keep clearing his nose I’m sure he will be better in a few days! Just needs some rest! X

did your little one have temperature spikes too? I’m unsure of whether to take him to the doctors just because I have a feeling I’ll be told to manage it at home it’s just something viral because that’s all we ever get😂🤦🏻♀️x
Edit: just checked his temp now and it’s back down to 36.6
