Sweaty Baby??
I feel like I post all the time cause I have no idea what’s normal for a baby… BUT ANYWAYS lol does anyone else’s baby sweat a lot?? Mine sleeps in his bassinet and whenever I pick him up there is ALWAYS a giant sweat stain from his head. Same thing if I put him in his car seat within minutes…. Head shaped sweat stain. And I know he’s not hot because he only wears onesies since we’re in FL. Do I just have a sweaty kid?? He’s been like this since day one and he’s 9 weeks currently. Doesn’t cry out like he’s over heated and we always sleep with the fan on and he only sleeps in a onesie and a zipper swaddle since he startles himself awake so easily…

I live in California and my boy runs hot and I never put him in a onesie AND a swaddle. Sounds like your little guy is overheated so I would take off that onesie and just do a swaddle. Or give up the swaddle completely because it will be a nightmare for you once he transitions out of it and just put him in a onesie and see how that goes. We were swaddling at first but the more I read about the startle reflex and the nightmares women had trying to get their babies to sleep WITHOUT a swaddle made me decide to ditch it and my little one sleeps great and doesn’t startle himself awake. Something to consider
the zipper swaddle is very light material and has free movement as well, it just keeps his hands out of his face mostly since he thinks he’s wolverine 😂 but I will try it! Thx!
Same with my boy lol he was cutting up his face with his nails so I throw some mittens on him to stop him from scratching hahahah. But yeah try one less layer and see if he’s still sweating? Only thing I can suggest lol
Yessss my baby is a sweaty baby I thought it was just him until I seen this post lol! He sweats sooo much and I always find sweat stained head prints on my bed when he moves around at night. He sweats easily when playing too. But sometimes I wonder if her got it from me ? I’m an easy sweater too 😭
My LG is a sweaty one! I started putting her in a 100% cotton undershirt and it’s actually really helping. She’s normally clammy and since I started she’s had a pretty consistent temp.
Are his cheeks red? That’s how I could tell baby is starting to get too hot. Also could you take his temp to see how hot he is? Maybe try no swaddle or do a cotton muslin swaddle, it’s a super lightweight one.
I wouldn’t worry about him startling awake either, they sleep better if they learn to self soothe and fall back asleep after startling.
I also have a sweaty baby. he’s always super hot to the touch. I’ve checked for fever, but everything is fine at night, and we just have him in a diaper and a swaddle. I am in Florida too so he’s only ever wearing a onesie or just a diaper
