Bad sleep and work

Hello I’m back at work a few days a week now, but my lo sleep is so bad lately, he’s had a run of viral infections currently hand foot and mouth. The past few nights he’s been up every hour and doesn’t want to be put down. But this has been going on for months in one way or another. I’m shattered and really struggling with work. Has anyone else been in this position? I’m exhausted and considering a sick note but don’t know if I should power through and hope it changes x

Get a sick note if you have sick leave and take the time to recover and recharge. Work is work but your mental and physical health are more important

Hi! I agree with and , I’ve been struggling with the same situation and tried both approaches 🙈 and…
- When trying to continue with it, the outcome in my work wasn’t good so I wasn’t very productive anyway, making mistakes and forgetting things.
- The exhaustion is later much more difficult to overcome and going back to your normal self takes longer.
- Being so tired affects the mood and you can find yourself not being who you want to be around your baby and your partner 😓
So, my advice is to take some time off for resting if you need it. You’ll later catch up much better with work and probably you’ll get the same amount of work done 🤗
