Do you plan on giving your baby whole milk? I’ve been looking into making oak and almond milk. I’m waiting until 1 years old.

My doctor recommended nothing but age appropriate foods and formula (we don’t breastfeed) until he turns 1, then whole milk. If he appears lactose intolerant then we will switch to lactose free whole milk.

They aren’t supposed to have anything other than formula/breastmilk until after they turn 1. They can’t properly digest the milk and it can cause issues. If your wanting to switch from formula or breastmilk talk to your pediatrician for their recommendation.

Our pediatrician said we could start milk around 11 months. We’re gonna try out whole milk first since she’s been good with cheese and yogurt.

Our peds said to wait until after 1 to start whole milk because they don’t have their back molars yet to properly chew all foods and can lack nutrients

I used pea protein milk for my first and will again for my second. My drs biggest concerns was getting enough calcium when using plant based and ripple pea milk had the most.

Will give her whole milk when she turns 1 and I’m planning to transition little by little

my SIL did the same with both her babies
