8month old w/ cold
Hi there. FTM with an 8month old baby. He is super congested, coughing and a runny nose. Does anyone have at home remedies to ease his congestion and make him more comfortable? Trying to suck the boogers out but that’s always a challenge since it’s his worst enemy LOL. Just giving him extra snuggles and knowing it will pass.

I’ve been using nasal drops which loosen the blockage and I found that it’s better to be running than blocked especially at night! Also my boy hates the sucker too 😆
Calpol Vapor Plug In. I swear by this! When my 11mo old gets a cold, I always use this in the night. It's quite strong, but allows her to breathe easier at night. I also put baby Vick on her feet and chest too x
Hylands cold and mucus! It’s helped my 9 month old so much. Also a lot of steamy showers running with us standing in the bathroom and a humidifier
Holding our little guy in the bathroom, while the hot water runs has helped us. And using the dreaded snot sucker before eating and before sleeping.
I haven’t tried this, but I’ve also been told by multiple moms that you can put Vicks vapor rub on the bottom of a babies feet, put socks on the feet, and let them sleep like that overnight. It’s supposed to help clear congestion.
