We're planning on traveling by car within a few hours of home to visit family for Thanksgiving. (I'll be almost 31 weeks.) But I'm not comfortable traveling at all for Christmas when I'll be in my 35th week. It's just too close for comfort for me.
We're also moving in with my father-in-law and his wife, and they don't celebrate Christmas, so I'll have a totally unchristmassy Christmas again this year (last year I didn't get to see family either for health reasons.) Feeling pretty bummed about it :( but also don't want to risk going into labor hours from home

I'll be 35 weeks on Thanksgiving and am choosing to stay home. My official due date is December 28th, so I'll *definitely* be home for Christmas, whether with a tiny baby, or ready for labor at any time. I'm sure my family will be disappointed, but if they really want they can come the 1.5/2 hours to visit me.

@Kayla
Unfortunately we definitely won't have enough room to decorate as it's gonna be pretty cramped. I don't think they would want us to decorate at all outside of the room either as they have two kids, 4 and 7, and I wouldn't want them to get confused or be disappointed when they don't celebrate next year. I like the idea of finding something local to do though :) I'll look into that

I live in a city that's like halfway between where my family usually goes for Christmas, so I might ask if they can drop by on the way there or back.

My Thanksgiving plans are 10 minutes away from my home. Christmas, I'll be right around the 40 week mark so we will be celebrating a couple weeks early with just a few family members. Just watching Christmas movies, Chinese takeout, and drinking hot cocoa from home on Christmas day if I'm not in labor 😊. And I already decorated for Christmas so I don't have to worry about it. It can stay up as long as I want too lol.

I will be 34weeks+2 for Thanksgiving. I’m going to my family’s house that’s about 2 hours away. Christmas I will definitely be staying home because it will be right around 39 weeks. Too spruce up my Christmas I plan on making Christmas cookies, watching movies, lighting a Christmas candle. My in laws live about 20 min away so if I’m up for it, maybe stopping by. My family may come down. It just depends! Maybe look for some Christmas activities in your area! The historic homes in my area have a Christmas celebration with lights.

I’ll be 33 weeks at thanksgiving and 37 at Christmas. We plan to travel to my in-laws for both, but they’re only 45 min away. If I’m a total lump by Christmas though, we may have everyone come to us instead though.

I’m 31 weeks and just took a flight from Dallas to SF yesterday. I’m planning on going back when I’m 34 weeks but also feeling a little uncomfortable about it.

i’ll be 33 weeks traveling 4 hours for thanksgiving riding with my parents as driving has gotten more difficult and i’m not going to visit family for christmas either! :( my husbands family lives by us though so i may spend christmas with them or invite them over so we’ll see. i’m used to traveling every single year so i’m a bit bummed but understand this is definitely a different time in my life than normal being pregnant for the first time lol

In the 3rd trimester you should try not to go too fat from your doctor or hospital
