Trying for second doubts
So I am currently trying for a second however I'm now starting to have doubts.
I had a promotion when I came back from mat leave so feel guilty for going back on it(I know silly)
The office manager is pregnant currently but no one knows and I feel like if I fall pregnant I'll get the brunt of their frustrations and people will think I've copied (we are friends outside of work)
I'm worrying about money as we have no savings but can work to save by the time it's born. I'm the higher earner so it will be a hit me going on mat leave.
Do I pause until I'm sure or carry on? I'm currently ovulating so might be too late to make the decision haha

if im being completely honest, i don’t think there is ever a right time to try! they can’t penalise you for going back onto maternity leave so I wouldn’t worry about that :) and if anyone says you are copying your manager that’s on them and actually quite childish. I think money troubles is a big one that anyone will think of when trying for a baby, but again, if you keep putting it off until you feel financially ready, will you ever be ready? But… you’re the only one who can decide on this! I hope whatever you choose makes you happy and I wish you all the luck 🥰🤍
I really agree with everything Jess has said. Just to add, I have just had my second, so basically only had a year back at work before going on mat leave again. I did feel a bit guilty about it although I don't think I should and I am lucky to have a supportive employer and team. So I know it is hard. I remind myself, why should women feel bad about it when a man can have as many children as close together as he wants and no one would think anything. And in the grand scheme of your whole career it is only a short amount of time really. Do what you really want and don't be influenced by what others might think 😊
