6 month old is huge!

I got my 6 month old weighed today along with my 2 year old and there’s only 5 pounds between them!🫣🫣🫣 since my youngest was born he just grew RAPIDLY, he’s now in size 9-12 clothes but fits 12-18 tops!! I don’t understand at all because he only drinks the same amount of milk that my daughter did and she’s always been dinky! I’m starting to worry there’s something wrong with him… did anyone else’s chunky baby shed the weight when they became a toddler? (He’s also really long might I add, I have a feeling he’s going to be very tall) but he’s also a very fussy baby and very stiff, his body never seems relaxed, he’s also very strong 💪 and almost crawling (can crawl backwards)

Am I worrying for no reason?

I’m in the same position but opposite. My daughter is 3 months, very long and I’m size 6-9 clothes. My son is 22 months and short and slim. They both wear the same size nappy. Hopefully they’ll both balance out in time! 🤞

Sounds like my sister's kids. They were chunky monkeys and once they started to walk/run it was like all the chubby fat melted off.

All babies are different and just because they're siblings doesn't mean they'll be the same developmentally so I wouldn't worry too much unless your doctors made a note about it 🤷

He’s gorgeous! Likely weighs more because of his length, my sons the same!

Following this because my son is 12 weeks and he is also huge, already fits in 3-6 months clothes and 6-9 months tops (his head is too big for the 3-6). We are not overfeeding him either, we follow the guidelines in regardsto how much formula he should drink

Aww he’s adorable! I’m pretty much in a similar situation to you. I too have a chunky and tall baby boy in the 96th percentile for his weight and height. It is what it is, most likely genetics. Nothing to worry about as long as he’s healthy and developing well, meeting his milestones

My giant baby is now a giant toddler 🤣 he wasn’t super chunky as a baby but is definitely tall! 99 percentile at his 2.5 year old check

It definitely seems to be more of a boy thing by the looks of it🤣

As soon as they start walking and running they loose the baby weight I think which would explain there not being a huge difference in weight. My youngest is 8 months and filling 12-18 month clothes. I wouldnt worry! X

My little boy was 5.6 at birth and now 25lbs and 9 months old he’s a big boy 😂

I think it is how it is. My son has followed the same curve for height and weight since birth so it’s not like he’s loosing the baby weight but he does look slimmer at closer to two because of his height.

I love the way he’s looking so satisfied with himself in this pic like “yep, I’m a big boi!” ♥️
