Car seat for Grandparents

I’m struggling to choose a car seat for my parents car. I have a silver cross all motion and absolutely love it however when I go back to work my mum will be having my boy the days I’m there and because my car seat is heavy it’s just not ideal to remove it from my car. My parents won’t be able to keep the car seat in the car all the time as they regularly have to put the seats down to fit bits in their boot, so I’m looking for something easy to remove and easy to fit. My boy is 6.5 months and ideally we would like the car seat to last until at least 4 but preferably all the way up to 12. Any help is appreciated ❣️

If you join the Facebook group Car Seat Safety UK you should be able to get recommendations based on baby’s weight and height and which car your mum has 😊

Second the safety group, we have an axkid mini kid 2, it's chunky but super safe

Joie everystage

@Katie yeah true, although I never used that 🤦🏻‍♀️

Joie stages?

I got Joie Stages for my mum's car, very happy with that

Joie all stage

What age will your little one be when you go back to work? As you may be able to get away with an infant carrier rather than a next stage seat? Really recommend joining Extended Rearfacing car seat safety on Facebook so you can get the best recommendations dependent on your child’s measurements and budget We have a Joie Spin 360 in our car and an Axkid Minikid 2 in my parent’s car which is a lot more lightweight, the only downside is that it’s not isofix but isofix seats tend to be a lot heavier x

@Sadeka he will be 9/10 months but I know he definitely will not go in an infant carrier because we had one before and he hated it. I also do not want to get an infant carrier then have to get a car seat for them down the road. After discussing with my parents last night I’ve brought them a joie every stage, so I’m hoping they will get on with that fine xx
