Limb difference Toys

My son has a limb difference where his fingers are shorter on one hand than the other, his hand is also smaller than the other, I’ve been having trouble trying to find toys that fit in his hand so he can explore his grip and how to hold things, I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I really want to help with his development aswell as encouraging him to use that hand as much as he can. He’s 4 months old.

what’s everyone doing with their kids at meal times? i’m trying not to be on my phone or watch anything but i don’t know what to do. i honestly don’t want to just sit there and do nothing but my child doesn’t communicate yet so we can’t have a conversation lol she’s 2

I’ve bought a couple of small flash cards and alphabet type things but I’m stuck as what to get her 🤔 Want to get some educational stuff, plus definitely want things that will entertain her for more that 5 minutes 🫣 but don’t cost the earth

Everytime someone asks what i like to do or my hobbies I have no idea. I had gotten into diamond art but its not really something I enjoy anymore. I was just looking for suggestions and help. Also struggling to figure out who I am outside of being a mom.

Hi, my name's Danielle. I started Peak Mums Circle after moving to Chesterfield a few months ago and wanting to meet other local mums in real life, while getting out with the kids and exploring more of the Peak District. We’re now a growing group of local mums who meet for monthly outings, with the occasional mums-only plan too 🤍

For September, we’re walking from Hassop Station along the Monsal Trail to Headstone Viaduct, going through Headstone Tunnel and across the viaduct before heading back.

🥾 Approx. 4.6 miles / 7.4km return
👶 Flat, traffic-free & pushchair-friendly
🚗 Parking at Hassop Station
☕ Café, toilets & playground at the meeting point

We’ll stop for lunch/coffee afterwards.

Help for 2 year old

What kind of activities can I do with my 2 year old at home? I also have a newborn so not able to go to playgroups.

She's non verbal but want to keep her entertained at home. We do water play, build blocks, read books etc. If I can, we to for walks & play in the garden.

Any fun ideas that might also help develop her talking? Shes under SLT.

1st birthdays - What are we doing?

I’ve just realised my son is eight weeks from his birthday because the passage of time is crazy.

I want to do something for his first birthday but I’m not sure what, stuck between wanting an actual (small) party and just having a meal with some cake/presents. As he’s a November baby it’ll probably be freezing so any outdoor ideas are out the window.

What are you planning/what have you done for previous kids?

Thought? Asked my kids dad to watch her while I shower and kid other kids ready and I ask where she is and find her like this and he’s in bed on his phone having google make him a meal plan…
