Looking for inspiration on things to do/places to go on my days off work with my little boy! Feel like I always do the same things. He’s a bit bored of groups/classes now! 🤦🏼‍♀️

What is your opinion on the public libraries available for early learners?

Okay, for me, I don't like it for my first time going.So now that she's getting of age like eight months, seven months.I wanna take her out more and one place.I used to go to a lot when I was pregnant and before I was pregnant was the public library.Cause, i'm a reader.I love to read and also I like to free events that happen.I'm a public library so I attended the early learner program that they have at my public library with my baby and it was not engaging whatsoever. My baby did not participate in the reading. She didn't like the toys.. so I got the hand if she doesn't like it, we're not going cause the whole planet was going was for her.And if she doesn't like it, then what's the point of going. But I read to her like, I pick up books for her to read at home, and she has fun.She giggles, she lies, she try to hold the book and she has toys at home.So she played with the toys and have fun.But when we go to the library, she's quiet, she's not engaged, she's side eye everybody. Like, I wanna go to more events? And the poet library, but they're not much events that are baby friendly or especially things. I can do with baby. I need to know if i'm trippin'.Or this is a similar story

Favourite books for your LO

What’s everyone’s favourite books for their toddler?

I can’t seem to find any that I think my boy will like.
I don’t really want to buy the new but the charity shops I have in my town are awful and they are mainly for older kids and Vinted haven’t got a massive collection either 😩

Staycation 🚗🌤️

Any advice on taking your little ones on caravan holidays! We booked a trip down to Dorset at the start of July. My little one will be around 2 and a half months!
Just wondered if there’s any handy items/essentials to take aswell as ideas for keeping little one entertained in the car?

We plan on taking her to the beach and on little days out so any ideas would be good for what to take! (Obvs the basic baby items) but more stuff I wouldn’t first think of! Also any advise on how many clothes to take and what type? 🥰

Holiday with 4 months old

We go away next week with a then 4 month old, what are the essentials to take and any advice?
We are going to Tunisia.

Screen time and play time

Mums that don’t allow screen time, what do you do to keep your baby entertained during wake windows? I find myself putting on dancing fruit a couple of times a day to keep my baby entertained but I’m worried about too much screen time as he’s still so young. We do have toys, play mat, go for walks etc but sometimes he just seems really bored 😅

Long car journey

We're going on holiday to Cornwall next week which is about a 5hrs drive from where we are. I'm a bit worried about how to keep my little girl (11 months old) entertained during the journey 😅

We're thinking of leaving before her morning nap so she'll probably have her first nap in the car, which is usually around 40–45 minutes. We'll also stop for lunch on the way but it's still a long time for an active baby to be sitting still!

Any tips or advice would be appreciated (books, toys, snacks,planning, anything really!). Thank you ☺️

Havens holidays

Has anyone got experience staying in any of the caravans at a havens resort? I’ve never been to a holiday park/nor stayed in a static caravan but I’m planning on a family break and I’ve got a toddler and a 3 month old.

Does anyone know if there’s usually any space in the double bedroom for a travel cot?

Travelling with a 7 month old

We’re going on holiday for the first time with our baby who will be 7 months old. Please recommend me ALL your baby travel essentials. Toys/food/clothes the lot. Thank you in advance x

Screen Time

So we've pretty much been screen free with my little boy since about 3 months and its been pretty easy as he's at nursery 4 days a week and we just have music on or are outside most of the time and we haven't really needed it to be able to get things done. However ive seen a lot of posts on here, tiktok and from friends saying their little ones loves a certain character so much and have loads of character themed birthdays and im now wondering if my little one is missing out. Has anyone else done no screens? Do you feel like they are missing out and are you thinking about introducing it soon?

Idk what I'm doing

What do I even do if the baby wants to eat and my son school bus is about to come at the same time I've never had 2 kids at the same time my daughter was 17 when my son was born and independent idk if I even remember how to do this I got until November but I keep thinking about the bus thing

Indoor play?

I feel like so so guilty I feel like my 16 month old is so bored in the house all the time and I suffer with really bad anxiety so struggle to get outside and we have no mummy friends!! Anyone have any indoor/garden play ideas for my 16 month old girl help a mama out !!!!

Teaching some makaton

My son is just about 8 months old and gonna start teaching him makaton for food and drink, anyone that’s done this how did it go and how long did it take for your little one to learn and use the makaton

Nursery trip

Not sure whether to let my child go. I know she would love it, but it's almost an hour away and she's only 3, I just feel it's too far for her first trip. Especially as they're all so young, I just wonder how the teachers will cope with them all running round a farm 😂 am I being overly protective or do I wait till she's older/actually in school. Or for a more local trip

Toys!

Can anyone recommend some toys for 6 months plus please? My daughter seems to be getting bored of anything we have and need some more challenging stuff!

I feel bad for doing too much tv time

I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot. I cant walk or move around much for my son. He also doesnt like playing with his toys much when its just me and him. But with his dad he will play but dad needs breaks sometimes. Like tohnight hes half asleep on the couch. Ive been slaving away in the kitchen and I have ms rachel on cuddled up with my son. What can I do to get my 3 year old to play with his toys more often?
