Vaping

Hiii
I am really struggling to quit vaping, just wondered if anyone had any tips? And also is there anyone here who used a vape throughout pregnancy without any complications! There's not much on the Internet really!

I've not had any morning sickness 😭 I'm finding that I'm smoking it more being I'm anxious with this pregnancy due to having recurrent MC. X

Hey I was smoking and vaping but as soon as I found out I cut down over a couple of days my intake and then went cold turkey. I used to vape in the car which is what I missed the most, to help curb this I have lollipops in the car and this also helps if I was feeling a bit sick at times. I am now over two months smoke/vape free. Think of your baby that’s what has helped me get through, you have got this! You can also get help through quit smoking they can give you supplies to help you stop. You would be able to get things like nicotine patches, gum etc this would be all free and provided for you. If you want to talk just drop me a message, wishing you all the best x

I’m still vaping and no idea how to quit either. My friend who smoked changed to vaping when she was pregnant and has a completely healthy little boy but obviously everyone is different so I’m getting anxious aswell 😅 x

Hey! I vaped all through my first was told my two different hospital trusts (Herts and beds) it was fine as it was such a low dose nicotine I was having from a proper vape not an elf bar and they didn't mind was told it would likely put more stress on baby for me to quit so as it was so low (worked out to the equivalent of half a cigarettes nicotine a day I was having) it was fine to carry on. Son was born no issues his issues started 10 days later with a completely unrelated cows milk allergy which from everything I've researched cannot be caused by nicotine it's likely genetic as my partner had it and as an adult I can't stomach dairy

I'll also add I'm carrying on this pregnancy too as the advice to me hasn't changed and my midwife knows me well enough to know I've cut my nicotine back down to that tiny amount and wouldn't ever use elf bars or anything like that.

You'll come across loads of women who bash you for it so just ignore it!

I’m still vaping lovely as I too am really struggling. It’s always in my hand to be honest but that’s not to say I’m vaping it all day everyday. I put it down and within minutes I want to pick up back up 🙈 I’ve tried to stop but have struggled. I still intend to stop or at least really cut down but it’s so so hard. I really feel your struggle. I had a friend that vaped throughout her pregnancy and baby was fine but I’m no medical person so I’m not encouraging the fact but just sharing. Don’t be hard on yourself though and try if you can but if you can’t don’t stress yourself out with it xx

I’m also really really struggling to quit the vape 😞😞 I have been so addicted to them and just found out I’m 7 weeks pregnant and it’s the hardest thing to quit, I’ve just gone and bought a 0% nicotine but feeling so guilty I used to smoke ciggs before having my first and managed to stop cold turkey but now with my second and on the vape it’s so much harder 😩😩😩😩

if you're vaping 0%nictone from a refillable mod vape you'll be fine the only three Ingredients will be vegetable glycerine (found in vegetables and used in medicines and a lot of food you eat) propelyn glycol (however it's spelt but it's a safe food additive) and food flavouring (the same stuff as vanilla extract or organe flavouring or any other flavouring you add when baking) so it's fine to consume obviously best advice is to quit once you stop feeling the need to pick up the vape but you could drink nicotine free e liquid and the most that would happen is a minor uoset belly possibly. I used to make e liquid a few years ago during COVID when you pretty much struggled to get anything and those three are safe to consume. Just make sure you buy from reputable brands and can clearly see the ingredients listed
