I have no advice but my 6 month old boy does the same thing. Hopefully someone else has suggestions.. I just keep pulling his hands out of his mouth but he is teething so he's constantly chewing on his fingers. It's an all day struggle every day.

Same. I put socks on her hands in the meantime so that did help my baby is teething also 😩

My 6 months old does the same. My pediatrician told it’s because she’s teething so now I got her some teething toys to chew on instead of her fingers and it has gotten better.

Apparently it helps get rid of the gag reflex eventually lol
All I do is move hands away from mouth if he starts gagging and won’t move them out of his mouth, or offer teethers.

Same with mine!!! This has helped us alot. It's from a brand called smily mia on amazon
