Breastfeeding

Hi mamas, just wanted some advice from you all. My little one is 12 weeks old and still wakes every 2-2.5 hours for a feed. Can you tell me if this is normal as not experienced so many night wakes before with my first and I'm so tired! Your input is much appreciated.

Part and parcel of a breast fed baby in my experience! We’ve managed to close the gap to 3.5 hours for the first stint at night but the rest of the night is about 1.5-2.5 hours. And during the day, he’s still every hour unless he’s napping on the go 🤦🏼‍♀️😅 it’s exhausting but you’ve got it mumma!

I think it's individual to every baby, but I've been EBF for just over 4 months now and I'm quite fortunate that my LG has slept through from week 2. I've just made sure to keep my diet protein high, good fats and i eat oats every day, as I read somewhere this can help milk supply and the fatty, filling part of it, dont know how true this is. I do personally think if baby is waking its because they need it! I will also say my LG sometimes nurses for an hour and a half and feeds every 2 hours during the day, so as much as she sleeps through, I don't get much time to do anything sometimes! Youre doing great x
