My manager has put me in an uncomfortable situation twice. A few weeks ago I had sent an email asking to speak with my manager about my role and how I’ve been getting work from a Director and unsure how to handle the situation and whether it pertains to my job scope. I met with her (manager) before Thanksgiving and she told me she met with the Director. Before even speaking with me or acknowledging my concerns. What if I was being harassed at work? How can I trust her. Today another incident. I emailed stating I’d be WFH due to being sick with a stomach virus all week. My manager announced me being sick at our team huddle and then someone made a comment that my house is a bacterial cesspool and pity my kids, my manager responded yeah. I feel like she didn’t need to announce to everyone I’m sick and that she should have stopped my colleague in her tracks after that comment. I don’t know how to even handle this situation.

HR all the way. Document and timeline everything

HR for sure. I experienced this last year when my kids were sick constantly. People can be so insensitive! I’m sorry.
