Around 3-4 months our supply "settles" baby is established so we produce less

@Kai dang well how can I get it up?!!

That's really good for after a nursing session honestly. Is there a reason you want an oversupply?

@Chrissy I honestly don’t want to be a just enougher. Especially if my supply dips during my period or for other reasons. I also want to nurse til a year and give him milk from the stash for until I run out instead of cows milk.

I’m also Sacred if it’s dropping a little That what if it continues to drop

Nursing will produce more for you honestly. If you really want to "boost" you'll have to pump more because your baby dictates how much milk you need otherwise. And you're on the high end as 2 oz total after nursing is considered high. So keep that in mind when looking at ounces. Breastmilk is wonderful as it changes in caloric needs without really changing ounce output.

Also you were a very big over supplier before from the sounds of it. There are risks with having that much milk as you are more likely to deal with clogs and mastitis. It's scary to see a decrease but it's also your body adjusting to your baby's needs. And as you continue to nurse it will ebb and flow with your baby's needs.

Oh and one last thing to trouble shoot. Pump parts do need to be regularly changed. If you haven't done so recently it's worth looking at as it loses suction.

@Chrissy how often? I have two sets of parts I use (4 cups and 4 flanges etc) I guess I’m okay, I just worry that if it’s dropping then what if it keeps Dropping and then I dont have enough ya know? I want to have A stash for going back to work and during my period and for when I stop nursing and I feel I won’t have enough that I’m wanting if my supply drops

With regular use it can be every 2-4 months. So you're about there to need to check. If you have a duck bill it should stay closed when not in use. That's usually the first to need to be replaced.

@Chrissy wdym closed?

Feel free to DM me, I am still nursing my 14 month old and would love to answer any questions

Well now that I think about it sometimes when I pump My spectra will collect milk in the flange and duck bill and it’ll go into the backflow thing- what does that mean?
